Garnier Nutrisse Nourishing Foam

I decided to try and use a foam hair dye for the first time. I normally use L'oreal Preference hair dyes to colour my hair but I fancied a change. I picked this one as it was new out and claimed to nourish hair as it coloured. I picked the colour below which was number 5 Medium Brown.

In the box:

You got everything you needed in the box like you would normally do and instructions, I suggest that you read them carefully if you have not used a foam dye before as the technique is slightly different.

My Verdict

The colour turned out darker than the colour on the box and on the colour chart even though my hair started out as a light brown which I am a little bit disappointed about I am hoping that my hair will begin to lighten after a few washes.

As for the claim of nourishing while it colours I didn't think this was the case with my hair. I know my hair is damaged but L'oreal hair dye makes my hair feel soft and silky when washed off but this product made my hair will dry and course, it was only when I applied the conditioner provided that it went soft and silky.

On a brighter note the coverage was good and it gave an even colour but if I was to use this dye again I would purchase a lighter colour. I hope you found this post helpful feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for reading!

NOTD - OPI - Purple With a Purpose

This is My favourite nail varnish and I always reach for it when I can't decide what colour to wear because I know it will be lovely on!

I love the applicator in only a few strokes my nails are covered effortlessly. I use two coats of this polish as I don't find one isn't enough. It dries quickly and it last about a 5 days without any chips for me but that can vary depending on how much work you do with your hands.

I love OPI polishes and I am hoping to build on my collection!

Thanks for reading :)

My Mac Lipsticks

I don't own many Mac Lipsticks in fact I only have 4! The ones I do have I love them and use one of them every day depending on what kind of look I am going for.

Lovelorn - Lustre
If I had to choose one as been my favourite I would have to choose this one. It is bright and bold but it is still perfect for every day wear. It goes perfectly with almost every outfit. It makes lips feel soft and moisturised although I have to top it up every few hours as it starts to wear off a little.

Creme Cup - Cremesheen
This is a perfect pinky nude it gives lips a slight pinky glow. I use it when I am going for a natural make up look just to add a bit of colour to my lips. This can be quite a drying lipstick and can stick to chapped lips so I would recommend to use a lip balm before apply this.

Viva Glam Gaga - Lustre
This is a vibrant baby pink shade which is perfect to use on hot summers days or nights out. It has the same moisturising finish that love lorn does and needs to be topped up through out the day.

Chatterbox - Amplified
I think that this is a very similar colour to lovelorn but it is a lot more vibrant and pigmented. You do not need to build up the colour as with just one stroke it gives you bright coloured lips. I would use this on days where I want my lips to stand out as the colour tends to take over your face.

March Beauty Wishlist

Every month I write a wish list in my phone of things I want to buy that month so I have decided to share my list with you guys. I don't always get everything which is on my wishlist as I like to see what other people think of the different products and if they have had bad reviews I will then strike them off my list. So this is what I have on my list this month;

  1. Sleek Contour Kit - Light, I have wanted this for a while and I have finally decided this is the month which I plan to purchase it.
  2. Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer - Light, I have put off getting this as I've been waiting for my current concealer to run out before I got this one but its now running low and get it to see if it lives up to some of the amazing reviews which I have seen on it.
  3. Revlon Lip Butter - Sweet Tart, I have been waiting ages for these to be released in the UK after seeing so many reviews from people who got them from the US and this is the month they get released in the UK and I get the chance to get my hands on them.
  4. No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Water, I have the face cream to go with this product and I have wanted to try this since it was released, Boots are giving away the £5 off No7 vouchers again so I have decided to use mine to get this to give it a try.

NOTD - Rimmel - Show Off with Rimmel - Disco Gold

Today I painted my nails using Rimmel - Show Off and Rimmel - Disco Gold glitter top coat over the top.

I used two coats of Show Off followed by one coat of Disco Gold. Over all I like the effect that these two nail varnishes created, they were quick drying and left a shiny and glossy look to my nails. This is what my nails looked like;

I hope you liked my post and give this nail varnish pair a try.

Damaged Hair

So.. My hair is pretty damaged and has been through a lot of stress recently due to dying different colours. The worst hair colour I chose was red. I had to bleach my hair from brown so that I was able to dye it red. My hair is still not back to the condition it used to be, it is dry, brittle and very damaged, I also had to dye it back to brown to reduce any more damage.

How I Care For My Damaged Hair;
I use all the products which I have previously mentioned on my 'Get To Know Me' post. After trying to find products which repair and control my hair for many months I have finally found the best things for me.

Tigi Bed Head Urban Antidotes - Shampoo and Conditioner
I currently use the level 1 version of this product but I am considering purchasing either the level 2 or 3. I buy the salon size duo pack from http://www.cheapsmells.com as they last a long time and are good value for money. I think they have really made a difference in my hair conditioner I have been using them for about 5 months and I have noticed a real difference in my hair. It is easier to comb which is the best advantage of the product for me.

Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment
As you know I am struggling with damaged hair but I am also trying to grow it at the same time. Not only does it improve the condition of my hair but I have noticed a massive difference the speed in which my hair grows. I have been using it for approximately 2 months using it 3 times a week and my hair has grown over two inches where normally my hair would only grow half an inch in this time!! Also this product smells absolutely amazing. It is best to pick this up when it is in the 3 for 2 offer in boots as you are getting a good saving because they sell for £7.99 a pot.

John Frieda Original Serum
I use this product on damp hair just to tame and soften the ends of my hair. It makes a big difference to how my hair feels and makes it a lot more manageable. Although I do not have frizzy hair this is still great for me and I plan to repurchase it when it runs out.

Redken Extreme Anti Snap
Before I purchased this product I did a lot of research of reviews of it to see what other people thought of it. the magority of reviews were good and positive so I then bought it. I use this on nearly dry hair just before it blow dry it, when I first started using it I didn't notice a different and I was a disappointed after all the reviews I had read saying it was good and I put it in my cupboard and stopped using it for a while. A few months later I decided to start using it again and use to religiously for a month to see if I noticed any difference after that. I can happiliy say I have finally noticed a big differnet in my hair, it feels a lot stronger and I have noticed hardly any split ends so I am going to keep using this product things can only get better!

If you have any questions just comment, email or contact me on twitter and I will happily give you advice from the experience which I have had with my hair.
