Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick

I recently purchased a new lipstick after I decided I didn't need any more for a while, naughty! But I have to admit I am extremely happy with my purchase.

I have been looking for a bright pink lipstick which is a more darker shade of pink than I would normally go for and believe me this has been difficult for me to find one I liked. I popped into my local Superdrug and I was just browsing the isles not looking for anything in particular when I came across the new Rimmel Kate Moss collection. As soon and my eyes met this shade I knew I just had to have it! I got it in shade 20 which is a perfect shade which I have been looking for! WOW!

I am really pleased with the staying power of these lipsticks it lasts nearly all day without any touch ups. Amazing! I will pop in a little picture of what it looks like on, I will now recommend Rimmel lipsticks to everyone as this is the first one I have tried and I am very impressed with the colour and quality and also it is not drying to my lips which is a big advantage. I am looking forward to maybe making some more naughty purchases from this line ;)

TAG: Make up Diary

1. What time did you do your makeup today? I did my make up today at about 11:00AM as I started work at 1:00PM and I like to give myself plenty of time!

2. What’s the least expensive beauty item you used? That would be my Collection 2000 Lasting Finish Concealer it is my absolute favourite!

3. What was the biggest problem you needed to correct? The little but of mascara which I got under my lower lash line.

4. Did you apply false eyelashes? No I did not I only tend to wear false eye lashes for special occasions.

5. Did you do anything while applying make-up? I listened to my iPod on shuffle :)

6. Biggest make-up mishap today? Getting my foundation in my hair around my hair line!

7. Did you have a makeup inspiration in mind? No not today I was just applying my make up the same way I do every day I am at work neutral and natural looking.

8. What was the most time-consuming part of your makeup routine? That would be my mascara as I spend a lot of time making sure my eyelashes look long and full of volume.

9. What part of your routine is the most fun? As above even though it is the most time consuming it is also my favourite part of my make up routine!

10. What part of your make-up makes the biggest difference in the way you look? I would say that would be my lip stick I normally pick bright vibrant colours which stand out wearing these kind of colours on my lips makes me feel more confident.

11. Neutral or colorful eyeshadow? Neutral

12. Liquid or mineral foundation? Liquid

13. Do you do your hair or make-up first? Make up I wash my hair then leave it wrapped in a towel until I have finished my make up.

14. Did you pack a make-up bag to take with you for the day? No the only make up item I ever take with me is my lip stick which I am wearing that day so it just gets chucked in the bottom of my bag.

15. When did you finish your make-up? It look me about 30 to 45 minutes to complete my make up today

Thanks I hope you enjoyed this post I have gotten a few of these tag posts from the wonderful Dainty Dollmix's blog I hope you don't mind ;)

March Favourites

Well this is my first ever monthly favourites post! This is something which I have been very excited to write and publish! I know it is a little late as we are already a few days into April but sadly my Grandma has recently died so I have been a bit preoccupied! :(

I have thought long and hard about what products to include in my March favourites and I have finally decided on these 3 items;

Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer - I got this at the beginning of the month and I am already in love with this product so much that I have purchased a back up ready for when I run out. The only problem I've had with it is the print rubs off the packaging but that's nothing major its an amazing product either way.

Bourjois Flower Perfection Foundation - I normally use the Healthy Mix foundation but I decided to give this one a test out. It is a lot more full coverage than the Healthy Mix formula and it also has a matt finish. I love both products equally and can't decided which one I prefer. I use the flower perfection on days when I'm going to be out and about and the Healthy Mix when I'm just have a lazy day, I have tried mixing both products together also gives a lovely coverage and finish. I wouldn't recommend the flower perfection to any one who has dry skin as it can cling to the dry patch and make it look flaky also it isn't very moisturising while it is on the skin.

Soap and Glory Hand Food - My hands have been feeling a little dry lately as I haven't been using moisturiser as much as I used to but in my house we have the hand wash and hand food duo next to our sink in the bathroom so I have been using it more often and my hands were back to feeling silky soft in no time!

No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Lotion

As you may have seen from my previous post "March Wishlist" I was wanting to purchase the No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Water using my £5 off voucher, but when I went into my local boots store I was told that it had been took off sale as there was a fault with it and it would be back as soon as the problem was sorted. The lady on the counter recommended for me to get the cleansing lotion instead, she said it did the same job but it was for normal/dry skin which didn't bother me as I often suffer from dry skin from time to time.

Although I have only been using this product for a few weeks I love it. It does exactly what I want it to do. It removes any make up which may be left on my skin and leaves my skin feeling soft and refreshed.

It had a creamy consistency and it glides over my face effortlessly using a cotton pad. It does not sting my eyes or cause any irritation to my skin which I sometimes have a problem with when using cleansers which feel to harsh for my skin but this one is perfect.

I would defiantly repurchase this product again although I am still interested in trying out the cleansing water when it comes back onto the shelves.

Thank you for reading I hope you found this post helpful.

Garnier Nutrisse Nourishing Foam

I decided to try and use a foam hair dye for the first time. I normally use L'oreal Preference hair dyes to colour my hair but I fancied a change. I picked this one as it was new out and claimed to nourish hair as it coloured. I picked the colour below which was number 5 Medium Brown.

In the box:

You got everything you needed in the box like you would normally do and instructions, I suggest that you read them carefully if you have not used a foam dye before as the technique is slightly different.

My Verdict

The colour turned out darker than the colour on the box and on the colour chart even though my hair started out as a light brown which I am a little bit disappointed about I am hoping that my hair will begin to lighten after a few washes.

As for the claim of nourishing while it colours I didn't think this was the case with my hair. I know my hair is damaged but L'oreal hair dye makes my hair feel soft and silky when washed off but this product made my hair will dry and course, it was only when I applied the conditioner provided that it went soft and silky.

On a brighter note the coverage was good and it gave an even colour but if I was to use this dye again I would purchase a lighter colour. I hope you found this post helpful feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for reading!
